User Experience/User Interface Designer & Art Director

Live from the stage/my workspace

I’m a UX/UI designer & art director, enthusiastic about design and technology. I enjoy creating meaningful designs that tell a story. I believe visual design is an essential part of developing a product in order to engage with your audience.

In June 2011, I graduated at the City College of the New York, where I received my BA in Electronic Design & Multimedia.

For the past 5 years I’ve been working as the Associate Art Director at Americas Quarterly, a policy journal published by the Americas Society/Council of the Americas. At Americas Quarterly, my main accomplishments were creating and designing strong concepts to portray the magazine stories and art directing illustrators and photographers. The Society of Publication Designers and American Illustration and American Photography have recognized my work at their competitions of the years 2014 and 2016.

Besides, I’ve been working for the past 3 years as the Visual Designer at BNP Media for the publications Architectural Record and Engineering News-Record’s mobile apps, where I acquired my first experience in UX/UI design, which inspired me to take a course at General Assembly.

In July 2016, I completed the User Experience Design certificate at General Assembly, where I applied my design skills and experience to create the prototype of a travel sharing experience mobile app for my final project. You can see this project here
