I am an interaction designer who practices human-centered design to create services, products, and experiences that empower people to live their best lives.
I have an MFA in Interaction Design from the School of Visual Arts and a 7-year background in art direction and graphic design working in the public sector, nonprofits, and the publishing industry. My areas of focus and expertise are user experience design, service design, strategy, design research, and community engagement.
Currently, I’m trying to help NYC local business owners to connect and solve their biggest challenges together. For my thesis project, I created a Local Biz Collective, a toolkit and a website that empower small business owners to connect and build an alliance in their neighborhood.
This past summer, I was a service design apprentice at the Service Design Studio of the Mayor's Office for Economic Opportunity, where I learned service design, design research and designing and facilitating workshops. Previously, I was the Production and Visual Designer of Engineering News-Record and Architectural Record magazines apps, the Art Director of Americas Quarterly Journal, and a freelance graphic designer working on editorial design, graphic design, and brand identity.
